Preamble

The CLUB OF VIENNA is an international association of individuals interested in social, scientific, economic and ecological issues who have proven professional expertise in these areas. The Club of Vienna has no party political ties and is exclusively responsible for its decisions. Currently comprising 19 members, it forms a union of recognised scientists and experts who are able to present reliable, far-sighted expertise on topics of public significance.

Main areas of focus

Particular attention is given to

• intellectual, cultural, ecological and economic potential in the area of conflict between regional and national interests
• the trend towards globalisation
• possible scenarios for the city of Vienna.
